Technology Coordinator
Position Summary
Poyen SD is seeking a knowledgeable, service-oriented, and dependable Technology Coordinator to lead and support the district's technology systems and instructional technology needs. This position is responsible for maintaining district technology infrastructure, supporting staff and students, coordinating device management, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and helping ensure technology is used effectively to support teaching, learning, and district operations.
In a small school district, relationships matter, flexibility matters, and problem-solving matters. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, patient, and able to serve as both a technical leader and a trusted support person for staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversee and maintain the district's technology systems, including computers, Chromebooks, printers, interactive displays, network equipment, and other instructional devices.
· Provide day-to-day technical support for staff, students, and administrators.
· Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating systems.
· Assist with management of district network, internet connectivity, wireless access, filtering, and cybersecurity practices.
· Coordinate inventory, deployment, maintenance, and replacement of student and staff devices.
· Manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access for district technology platforms.
· Support instructional technology tools and assist staff in effective classroom use of technology.
· Collaborate with district and campus leadership to identify technology needs and priorities.
· Maintain documentation related to technology systems, inventory, procedures, and service records.
· Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers for repairs, purchases, and technology projects.
· Assist with state and federal technology reporting requirements as needed.
· Help ensure compliance with district policies, data privacy expectations, and acceptable use standards.
· Provide basic training and support for staff on district technology systems and software.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in technology, computer science, information systems, education technology, or a related field preferred.
· Experience in technology support, systems administration, network support, or school technology preferred.
· Experience working in a K-12 school setting preferred.
· Knowledge of device management systems, Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft applications, student and staff information systems, and common educational technology platforms.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced school environment.
· Dependable, professional, and service-oriented demeanor.
· Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Chromebook management and Google Admin Console.
· Experience with network infrastructure, firewall systems, and wireless management.
· Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in K-12 environments.
· Knowledge of classroom technology integration and teacher support.
· Relevant certifications are a plus.
Additional Information
Poyen School is a 4 Day School Week.
Tuesday through Friday, 7:15am-4:30pm.
Terms of Employment
· This is a full-time, 12-month position.
· Salary and benefits will be based on district policy and experience.
· The successful candidate must meet all district employment requirements.

Food Service Director
Reports to: Superintendent
Start Date: July 1, 2026
Poyen SD is a small, rural public school district serving approximately 590 students. We are seeking a Food Service Director to lead a student-focused nutrition program that is compliant, efficient, and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily meal service for breakfast/lunch (and other programs as assigned).
• Ensure compliance with state and federal child nutrition requirements (USDA).
• Manage ordering, inventory, budgeting, and cost controls.
• Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen/cafeteria staff.
• Maintain food safety standards (HACCP), sanitation, and accurate records.
• Coordinate menus that are nutritious, appealing, and mindful of student needs/allergies.
• Complete required reports, claims, and documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications
• High school diploma required (degree in nutrition, food service, or related field preferred).
• Experience in school food service, commercial kitchens, or institutional food programs required.
• Working knowledge of USDA school meal programs and food safety best practices.
• Strong organization, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced, team-centered environment.
• Must meet district requirements for background check and employment eligibility.
Salary/Benefits
Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications, plus district benefits. Range above based on years of verified experience. $27,456 to $33,456.
